is a village located in Tano District, Gunma, Japan.
   As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 2,152 and a density of 11.83 persons per km². The total area is 181.86 km².
   Near Ueno is a shrine containing the remains of the people who died after the Japan Airlines Flight 123 accident.

  • 1889 - Ueno village is created in Tano District
